NEXUS™ Storm & Test System & Tension Packers
NEXUS™ INTEGRAL BYPASS PACKER
MODULAR INTEGRAL BYPASS SERVICE AND SUSPENSION PACKER
OSP’s API 11D1/ISO 14310 NEXUS™ Integral Service & Suspension Retrievable Service Packer (NEXUS™ IBSP) is specifically designed to maximize equipment capabilities due to its modular design, which increases the range of applications and operational efficiencies. The NEXUS™ IBSP is utilized for both high-tensile and high-pressure service work; and is ideal for applications where positive circulation below the packer is required such as in negative or positive testing, squeeze cementing, drill-stem testing, liner top testing, and mud conditioning. Additionally, the NEXUS™ System allows the operator to perform remedial, testing, and abandonment operations in a single trip due to its modular design, allowing simple adaptation with the NEXUS™ Storm Valve to provide a reliable temporary suspension solution.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Integral bypass – large internal bypass flow area allowing increased run speeds and circulation rates while reducing surge/swap pressures; saving valuable rig time when tripping in and out of the wellbore, or when performing fluid displacements
- System modularity –
simple plug-n-play technology allows a single set of equipment to perform various service applications and reduces costly equipment rental charges, coupled with high combined pressure and tensile ratings
- Validated test ratings – qualified and proven to industry API and ISO standards ensures equipment reliability during well isolation operations
- Non-ratchet slip design (i.e. retrievable bridge plug type) – prevents unnecessary and costly fishing operations for packer removal
- Simple setting features –
quick retrieval operations with the ability to unset and reset the assembly without rotation incorporating a unique drag block design
NEXUS™ STORM VALVE
MODULAR HIGH-TENSILE STORM VALVE SYSTEM
OSP’s NEXUS™ Storm Valve is designed to isolate drill pipe below the NEXUS™ Integral Bypass Packer for disconnection during a weather emergency or surface equipment repair. Primarily designed to provide reliable temporary abandonment solutions when assembled with the NEXUS™ Integral Bypass Packer forming the NEXUS™ Storm System.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- System modularity – simple plug-n-play technology allows a single set of equipment to perform various service applications and reduces costly equipment rental charges, coupled with high combined pressure and tensile ratings
- Validated test ratings – qualified and proven to industry API and ISO standards ensures equipment reliability during well isolation operations
- Increased hanging capacities – reduces overall suspension time
- Quick valve functioning –
valve can be repeatedly opened and closed for testing
packer seal elements prior to disconnection and increases safety and reliability - Efficient Disconnection feature –
J-overshot running tool disconnects without the need of further rotation or trapped annular pressure for quick valve placement and prevents damage to the annular seals or other sealing devices
- Unique overshot system – unique overshot system allows the NEXUS™ Storm System to be retrieved above the BOP/wellhead without being removed completely from the wellbore where the overshot can be racked back without the need to swap overshots, reducing the operational risk of running the incorrect running tools
- Reliable overshot sealing element – molded seal element allows increased pump rates through overshot eliminating loss of seal integrity when retrieving
OSP RETRIEVABLE AD-1 TENSION PACKER
AD-1 TENSION PACKER
OSP’s Retrievable AD-1 Tension Packer is a tension set, single grip, retrievable production packer. The OSP AD-1 provides a compact, economical retrievable packer for use where a compression set packer is impractical due to pressure requirements. The OSP AD-1 can be utilized for most low-pressure production, water injection, and pressure work applications. The OSP AD-1 incorporates three release methods to ensure irretrievability.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Sets securely in any hardness casing, including premium grades
- Compact, short, easy to transport and run
- Bore is larger than tubing drift diameter
- Easy to operate J-Slot control
- Rocker type slips
- One piece packing
- Three release methods, normal release, shear release, and safety joint top sub
APPLICATIONS
- Low pressure production for shallow well applications
- Well injection
- Well stimulation
- Casing test
- Pressure operations
- Short-term production packer
